Welcome - Triple 'A' Post

Welcome to Ten's blogspot.  Here we proudly present our unique venue, cocktails, staff, parties and much more.
In our site you can find out what's going on, book your celebration or event, have a bit of fun or look back at some of the past events at Worthing's ultimate party venue.

In this 'AAA' post (The triple 'A' standing for Awkwardness, Awareness and Animals, its not a automotive rescue company based in Liverpool) we take a look at Ten's weekend, announce the winners of our FITC competition, have an article on life's little awkwardness's, give away WKD t-shirts and a show you couple of videos from YouTube.com.

FITC COMPETITION:
There was only one night of pics this week as Ten went on tour; taking its cocktails and hosting to the party!  More about that coming up in the next few weeks.  This weeks winners are the recipients of a £10 bar tab each, if you are a lucky winner then all you need to do to claim your prize is to contact us through our Facebook group, and we'll send you a printable voucher.  Show the voucher to either Daniel or Rob and they'll make sure you are taken care of.

Congratulations to both of the winners and if you'd like the chance to win a £10 bar tab for your weekender, just turn up at Ten on a Friday or Saturday night and do something to attract the attention of our photographer Lukas.

AWARENESS:
Here at Ten we are committed to making your experience as memorable and fun as possible, and to support this we are working to keep the busiest bar in town drug-clean and drug-safe.

If you need any advice or have any questions about drug abuse, its effects or if your are worried about someone please talk to Frank or call 0800 77 66 00 or text him on 82111.

AWKWARDNESS'S:
There are times in everyone's life when you are confronted by certain awkward situations, usually situations where if you could only explain your actions it would alleviate the scenario.  It's moments such as when you say hello to someone you thought you knew or when you go to scratch your nose when talking to someone and you accidentally put your finger in your nostril.  And so to get them out of the way I've decided to open the conversation up.  There are ways of avoiding those little moments and Derren Brown came up with a wonderful way of avoiding the awkwardness on a train when you really don't want someone sitting next to you.  Rather than loading the seat with bags and looking out of the window ignoring them, he suggests looking them in the eye, smiling and patting the seat with your hand.

But the most awkward is when you are staying at a friends house overnight, and you need to use the toilet.  Do you flush and risk waking people up, or leave it hoping they don't assume you don't flush?  There should be a rule where not flushing is a sign of respecting their sleep, but what if you need to do a number 2?  There's no way you could leave a man-log there for them to find in the morning so flushing is necessary.  If only you could shout, "it's ok, its was a poo!  I was following toil-etiquette".

Another example is when walking to your car in a garage forecourt when you have a passenger in the car that you're not too familiar with, or when on a first date.  There's a moment when you look up and catch eyes with them; do you look away, pre-empt the situation and already have your phone in hand to look busy, mess about with your keys to avoid eye contact?  You both know you've just had that little moment and you may have been wearing your serious face.  My solution to it all is to begin your next conversation with "isn't it funny when...." and put a little light on your feelings.

The epitome of Awkkkward
