Welcome - Vaults, Faults and Birthday Parties

In this weeks post we look at the change to our weekly line up, we look at the end of the world - which has now been postponed to the 21st October, we tell you all about how you can get your stress free birthday party at Ten Cocktail Bar complete with a bottle of complimentary bubbly and a wee visit to the vaults of YouTube.com for some light tangents.

DIRTY THURSDAY:
At Ten Cocktail Bar we are constantly refining our entertainment to drive towards the ultimate party venue, and our new Thursday line up is no exception.  The hottest bar in town is now giving you world class entertainment courtesy of Superstar DJ's Dirty English.

A.k.a Thomas Frake and Lawrence Friend, Dirty English are taking the industry by storm and are fast becoming one of the biggest names in London's underground electronic dance music scene.  One of the most notable residences Dirty English have commanded is at The Ministry of Sound.

Whilst developing their productions portfolio with producers and are building sounds which have the crowd in mind, with people-pleasing classic house chords and bass.

If we were to list all the massive names and individuals that have worked alongside Dirty English I would be all week, so here are a few of the people, places and line-ups:

Clubs:
Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Matter, Earl's Court, The Hippodrome, Roadhouse, Kensington Olympia, Crush.

Played with:
Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Faithless, Moguai, Artful Dodger, Pied Piper, Luck & Neat, D-Formation.

Private parties for:
Jack Black, Girls Aloud, Madonna, Simon Webb, Barwizards, Jamie and Louise Rednapp.

So if they're good enough for Madonna and Jack Black then we think they'll be good enough for Ten.  They'll be cramming Thursday nights full of high quality entertainment, unrivalled in Worthing.

HOME IS WHERE THE PARTY IS:
There are only a few things that every human has in common with one another, and its not an urge to slap Justin Beiber, its the fact that once a year we have to submit to the fact that we're another year older.

And so Ten is giving you wonderful people the chance to have your party at Ten Cocktail Bar with a complimentary bottle of bubbly.  All you need to do is give your name and birth date (You dont have to tell us how old you'll be if you dont want to) to our promotions and marketing manager/photographer Lukas, who will be walking the floor with his clip-board and camera.  We will then contact you a month before your birthday and arrange for a table for you and your friends, and a bootle of chilled bubbly for your pleasure.  TRhere's no strings and we definitely wont be giving your details to any third parties, fourth parties or any other parties that want spam your email address.

If you want to be ahead of the pack, then please contact us on our Facebook group and we'll add you to our data.

SOMETHING ELSE:
In typically bloggy fashion here are a few videos from YouTube.com with the theme of faults and birthday parties, plus a favorite of mine which features a cocktail making lathario.  Enjoy

In this weeks post we have a look at the next Burlesque night at Ten Cocktail Bar, we have various updates around the site; more staff and jobs, an opportunity for you to advertise your business, we have a new daytime menu and a new line up for our evenings.  Also we have an article called What Wally Did Next and a few videos courtesy of Youtube.com.

BURLESQUE NIGHT - EPISODE II
Following the success of our charity burlesque and entertainment event, we are holding another with the theme of Saint and Sinners.  We are giving the door money to the performers this time so please support your favorite acts.

This event, on the 9th June, will feature some of the same acts from the last event, plus some new faces and acts.  Returning for another performance are acts including Lily L'Amore, Cherry Bella and Sweet Tease and the new acts include Honey Moon, Vie O'Lette and The Rockets.

Episode II has some differences, this time round we won't be having a range of musicians and will be keeping things strictly burly.  But we will be having a very special guest who will remain anonymous until their performance, last time we had the pleasure of David Van Day and Sue Moxley - and one of our future special guests will be Tony Moore from the 80's hit band Cutting Crew, who will be performing an acoustic version of his hit song "Died in your arms tonight".

WHAT WALLY DID NEXT:
Ever wondered what happened to your favorite film stars or celebrities?  Well Ive been on the hunt for some celebs who have disappeared from the public radar, from Star Wars actors to soap voices, and have found a few interesting things.

Mark Hamil - A.K.A Luke Skywalker.
Following his obvious role in Star Wars, Hamil found himself in a disfiguring accident in the late 80's, following which he saw very few roles including a commercial for high speed Internet cables.  Now you can hear him voicing the Joker in the new animated Batman series.

Paul Fusco - A.K.A the voice of ALF.
Faceless star Fusco's CV reads like an episode listing of the 80's show ALF, but the distinctive voice and its owner only worked on ALF and then a short stint in the series Matlock, before making a US TV movie called A Very Retail Christmas.

Stu Francis.
Kids favorite and daffodil duffer from the 80's, Francis made a show about the ultimate game show and 80's children's TV moments in 2005, but prior to that he appeared in The Keith Harris Show episode 3.5.  Although his most prestigious assignment was on Ultra Quiz '85 where one of the contestants was my mum and movie superstar Cristian Bale's mum, both eliminated at the same time and share the name Jenny!

Tommy Boyd (Timothy Leslie Boyd).
Possibly the most annoying presenter ever to trouble the air waves has out-performed the previous celebs with the most appearances on TV since his hay day.  Aside from his cameo in The Bill in 1999 and a spell presenting major league baseball on Five Boyd's most recent work was a TV documentary made in 2007 called When the Stranglers Met Roland Rat.

SOMETHING ELSE:
Its nearly summer, its nearly warm and its nearly the end of this weeks post and therefore we have our usual tipple of videos from YouTube.com.  This weeks videos are all have the theme of summer fails and dancing fails. Enjoy!

A MASSIVE thanks to everyone who has paid a visit to Ten over the last week, and we look forward to seeing you all again next time!
