Welcome - Political Special

Welcome to Ten's blogspot.  Here we proudly present our unique venue, cocktails, staff, parties and much more.
In our site you can find out what's going on, book your celebration or event, have a bit of fun or look back at some of the past events at Worthing's ultimate party venue.

In this politically special post we give you a guide to what all the fuss is about, preview what's coming soon to Ten, review our weekend of partying, announce the winners of our FITC competition, and a couple of videos from Youtube.com.

FITC COMPETITION:
Thanks to all our staff and guests who came along to Ten last weekend, which included a birthday party, hen party, work party, a group from Northbrook College and a very unique group of emergency service costumes!  Here are this weeks winners, congratulations and a £10 bar tab to each of you!

All you have to do to claim your prize is show your winning face at the bar.  If you want to be the Face in the Crowd, then all you need to do is show up on Friday nights, Saturday nights or one of our exclusive events and our photographer will gladly take your photo.

COMING SOON!:
And on the seventh day......he put on some funky house with a twist of disco.  DJ Sony is the latest name to join Ten's DJ line-up and will be setting your week off in style.

Having previously appeared on the same bill as DJ Slipmatt and MTV regulars, DJ Sony will be launching Sunday sessions every Sunday from 8pm.  And rest assured we'll have some fantastic drinks deals for you too!

All new menu!  Ten has redesigned its food menu to give you a great choice of options from simple dishes like chips with cheese or garlic bread to tear-and-share with friends, to full racks of Jack Daniels glazed ribs and spit roast chicken.
For the coming World Cup we have a brand new range of handy food to eat while you watch the biggest screen in Sussex.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You may have noticed that there's much ado in Whitehall, its that time again where we get to choose who 'runs the country'.  While we suspend our belief that those elected would actually run the country, Ten has compiled a little guide to some of the suits demanding your attention.  The main change this year is that we get to watch the three main parties debate live on TV, which seems to be a bizarre mix of Blind Date and The Dragons Den.  Aside from being the prime minister the winner gets a salary of £132,923, in addition to a salary of £64,766 as a Member of Parliament, a house called the Chequers and a potential seat in the House of Lords (That's where they actually decide what should be law).  Lets meet the contestants!

Name:  Gordon Brown.
Party:  Labour.
What does he do?:  He's the British Prime Minister.
What's his plan?:  To agree with the Liberals so the Conservatives look like they have no friends, he wants to cut down the size of the House of Lords (a good thing), he made the mess and wants to clear it up!
What's interesting about him?:  His left eye is fake!

Name:  David Cameron.
Party:  Conservative.
What does he do?:  He's the leader of the Conservatives and thinks Margaret Thatcher was cool.
What's his plan?:  Cameron likes to talk about social issues, wants to make cuts from the NHS, doesn't want Europe to call the shots and wants to remove inheritance tax.
What's interesting about him?: Upon being caught smoking cannabis at school was given the punishment of 500 lines of Latin text.

Name:  Nick Clegg
Party:  Liberal Democrats.
What does he do?:  Who knows!?!  He was ignored by the British media until his recent TV appearance.
What's his plan?:  To distance himself from the two candidates and present himself as a credible alternative to the 'old' parties, wants to reinvent British politics, and to have his hands in his pockets all the time.
What's interesting about him?:  Claimed he's slept with "no more than 30 women".

SOMETHING ELSE:
Its been a pretty serious post so far so we thought we'd remind ourselves of just how immature we can be at times.  So in honour of that, and our General Manager's trumpeting talents, here are a few videos to make you smile!

A massive thank you to everyone who has been involved in Ten this week, you genuinely make it the greatest place to be!
