Who are The Channel!?!
Lead Vocals: Martyn Bailey
Martyn started singing from 11 years old after taking notice of music when he fell in love with the song 'The Sun Always Shines On TV' by Norway's finest A-ha. It's been vocal olympics since then!
Guitars: Dibbs...
Bass: Stuart Spicer
Life in music began early, probably as far back as 7 years old learning and playing piano. First band at 14 and first gig at 15 where he first picked up the bass. Since then he has written music for numerous personal, public and band projects and even has one AVN nomination to his name!
Drums: Mike Chambers.
Mike became interested in the drums when he was very young and started lessons aged 5. He has played in school orchestras before but never been confident enough to join a band. He looks forward to the future gigs and is glad to be a part of The Channel !
THE WORLD CUP ENSUES!
South Africa is playing host to the latest FIFA World Cup, and Ten will be following selected matches on the biggest screen in Sussex. All England matches will be screened and will have half-time DJs and great drinks deals to keep the party going.
If you're new to the concept of the FIFA World Cup then here's a few facts about the competition:
- During the 18 tournaments that have been held, seven nations have won the title. Brazil have won the World Cup a record five times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. Italy, the current champions, have won four titles, and Germany are next with three titles. The other former champions are Uruguay, winners of the inaugural tournament, and Argentina, with two titles each, and England and France, with one title each.
- The World Cup is the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world, an estimated 715.1 million people watched the final match of the 2006 World Cup held in Germany.
- The next World Cup will be held in 2014 in Brazil.
DID YOU SEE?
I would love to publish all the shots that don't make the final cut, but for fear of a deformation of image suit I've gone with the shots which speak 999 words other than 'mentalist'.
SOMETHING ELSE:
Ten would like to disclaim that we do not encourage binge drinking, looking silly or putting excessive amount of St George's flags on your car. And so to make sure we've covered our health and safety obligation here are a few instructional videos to make sure you are safe at home, on a date or in the work place.
Thanks again to all those people who have given a little bit of themselves to Ten this week, and don't forget to join our Facebook group for much more Ten related mischief.
