Welcome - Random Schmandom

Welcome to Ten's blogspot.  Here we proudly present our unique venue, cocktails, staff, parties and much more.

Updated twice a week this site shows you what's going on, how to book your celebration or event, a bit of fun and looks back at some of the past events at Worthing's ultimate party venue.

In this post we take a look at Ten's weekend, preview up-and-coming entertainment for the bank holiday weekend, announce the winners of our FITC competition, have an article on the 'self', and show you couple of videos from YouTube.com.

FITC COMPETITION:
A scorching weekend brought a rather more tanned looking crowd to Ten over the weekend, and here are the faces we thought were worthy of this weeks £10 bar tabs.  To claim your prize all you need to do is contact us through our Facebook page and we'll send you a printable voucher which you hand to either Daniel or Rob.

Congratulations to those two winners, and we look forward to seeing that winning face of yours at Ten soon!  To be one of the recipients of next weeks prizes then turn up at Ten on a Friday or Saturday night and grab the attention of the photographer, you'll recognise him by the camera and the mo-hawk.

COMING UP THIS WEEKEND:
Oh yes its another wonderful bank holiday, and Ten is bringing you a weekend to match the daytime heat.  On Friday we have our resident matriarch of music DJ Ian Diggers rising out his party tunes till 2am, followed on Saturday night by DJ A.D.Hall; VDJ, award winner and nice guy.  And to make sure your weekend is rounded off we have The Channel performing their variety of popular covers live.

And of course the best part is that you could be one of the lucky ones who have the day off on Monday - you lucky lucky people!

RANDOMNESS LESS PONDERED:
The concept of 'who am I' and 'individual' has given philosophers cause to stay awake for over the years; whilst pondering the question 'why?' - and subsequently being left by your wife - some thinkers have told us that we are all running the same tape, nothing is random and that individuality is an illusion.  But then we are also told that biting your nails is a nervous redirection of nervous distension, and that one way or another we all want to have sex with our parents  Go natural progression to reflect ones synthesis of personality!

But then the process of establishing the state of your own being leads to such interesting questions about life and living, and if you stop questioning and looking into yourself are you still living?

I watched a film which made me question the world around me. So I decided that I'd share a vastly summarised thought process which goes something like this: The world is a crazy place, and if I was given the wisdom of a complete knowledge of it all, I'd probably wish I never knew. Nothing like a bit of good old fashioned ambiguity!

SOMETHING ELSE:
In keeping with our rather random subject matter in this post we were going to selected some random programmes from YouTube.  But as you could argue that nothing is truely random; as the human mind works through associates and logial relationships, albeit largely subconscious, and therefore the videos wouldn't be random unless selected my a non-centient being.  And so to avoid further theological entanglements the videos in this post are 'random' nostalgic kids TV shows - random yet relatable.  Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who is involved with the running of Ten, and a little mention to Robbie the guy who fixes various things around the place.  We hope to see you in Ten soon!
