Welcome - Its a family thing

Welcome to Ten's blogspot. Here we proudly present our unique venue, cocktails, staff, parties and much more.

Updated twice a week this site shows you what's going on, how to book your celebration or event, a bit of fun and looks back at some of the past events at Worthing's ultimate party venue.

In this post we feature a somewhat shorter photo set of last weekends shenanigans (our photographer jumped behind our bar as we were short staffed), have the latest episode of our staff introductions, have an article on the stranger side of wild life and one on the oddities of the family portrait, announce the winners of our FITC competition and show you couple of videos from YouTube.com.

FITC COMPETITION:
Here are the lucky lucky winners of this weeks FITC competition.  If this is you then all you need to do to claim your prize is contact us through our Facebook group and we'll send you a printable voucher to present to the staff at the bar and get yourself a bar tab worth £10!

If you'd like the chance to win one of our £10 bar tabs all you need to do is turn up on a Friday or Saturday night and do something to attract the attention of our photographer Lukas - he's the one with the glasses and mohawk, oh and he's carrying a camera!

NOTHING AS QUEER AS....:
Trawling the 'information highway' churns up all kinds of oddities in the world, perhaps the oddest of which is the world of animals; where oddities are a perfect natural progression of natural performance.  These creatures are here on earth, not some alien species or CG creation. You may have seen some of these before but I'm sure you'd agree that they were definitely at the front of the queue for biological marvel, but definitely last in the take-them-home-to-meet-the-parents line.

 The celebes Crested Macaque
The Hairy Frog, has fur and cat-like claws
The Grimpoteuthis otherwise known as the Dumbo octopus
The albino turtle
The Hairy Frogfish, walks on its pectoral fins as if the were legs
The Seapigs, scientists have admitted they have no idea why this creature is successful
A Megamouth Shark; AKA a former business partner!
This little Cuban tree frog doesn't actually glow like this, he's eaten one of the decorative tree lights
This odd little fella is an Aye-Aye from Madagascar.  He manages to get himself in trouble with farmers by eating coconuts and sugar cane.
The star-nosed mole's snout has 22 fleshy tentacles to identify its food by touch.

THE STAFF EPISODE V:
This weeks episode looks at the upper management of Ten, the guys that pay my wages - so i guess I'd better be nice!

NameRob Merewood
A.K.AWob
JobDeputy Manager
What's he all about?:  Rob is a member of the RSPCG (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Gingers) and a keen jam maker.
Special Ability:  Looking mental in photographs.
Catchphrase:  F*@k, C!&T

NameDaniel Trudgian (Actual person may vary from picture)
A.K.ADan
JobGeneral Manager
What's he all about?:  You may hear one of Dan's passions breaking the sound barrier at a location near you!  Other than the line of much skyness, money and his lovely family, Dan likes farts and farting.
Special Ability:  To not let me take any photos of him - therefore i had to improvise, you only have yourself to blame!
Catchphrase:  ...OK right!

ALL IN THE JEANS:
Before I took to insulting my boss on a blogspot I worked as a portrait photographer for an international company, which spawned an interest in family portraiture which set itself apart from the norm.  The follow pics are DEFINITELY setting themselves apart!

SOMETHING ELSE:
With the theme of oddities this weeks videos from YouTube are courtesy of R Kelly and his hilarious 'Pop-Opera' (Popera).  Its sooo cheesey you have to watch it to believe it.  If you can watch all of the first 12 parts you're doing well, and if you can guess what's in the cabinet you must be some kind of super genius!  I really recommend that you check out all the episode from Youtube.

Thanks to everyone and everything which has been a part of the Ten process this week and we look forward to serving you a great new cocktail soon!
